BioNicholas Elric is Edward's great-grandson. His father traveled a lot and as a result Nick spent his formative years in America and only returned to Japan with his father just in time to enter high school. That was where he met Takeo, and his life went nuts.
Nick is a soccer player, a general nice-guy with a mild bit of a violent streak. He's very athletic and good at handling himself - however he's not so good with books and research. He'd rather be outside kicking a ball around than inside a library - in fact before he met Takeo he had only ever been in a library because of school.
Because of Takeo's shenanigans, both Nick and Takeo ended up in Amestris, where they caused a lot of general trauma. Nick ended up with an automail arm due to a train accident, but it doesn't seem to faze him much at all. He blames Takeo for a lot of the nuttiness in his life but it's in jest. His life is a hell of a lot more interesting than he ever thought it would be.
